Deep Sigh, two stars for at least trying but really if I am going for Vietnamese food I do not want a big shiny sprawling Western feel with Lady Gaga vying for air time over the Football game on the TV and a server with his baseball hat on backwards saying hey Buddy, not the right vibe. Now onto the food, waitress had no idea what a soda chanh was, the summer rolls did not taste so fresh. The Pho Tai tasted like a can of Pho had been opened and a few scallions chopped in with overcooked noodles and overcooked beef thrown in. The short rib dish with rice was just adequate. Add two chrysanthemum tea from a can and it was $27, pricing was fair for what we got. This feels like another classic case of Hey no-one in Panama City really knows what Vietnamese food SHOULD taste like so this is OK. Well out of towners you will be disappointed which is a shame because sometimes all you want is a bowl of PHO. Sorry to be harsh I so wanted this to be good. The Vietnamese in Destin is almost as lazy.

Great food and atmosphere. The decor is very open and tastefully done. A few of the things I requested weren't on the menu or were out/unavailable (chrysanthemum tea, soy drink, 3 bean dessert) but that's because people aren't adventurous enough, unfortunately! Their grilled shrimp was bursting with flavor and their spring rolls were amazing, the green sauce was not one I recognized but it complimented it perfectly. Loved the cilantro, made everything very fresh. Skip your usual Chinese takeout (how many Jin Jin's are there in Panama City, anyway?!) and give this authentic Vietnamese restaurant a try!

The food was very good and reasonably priced. The food was well prepared and fresh. We ordered a Chicken and eggroll noodle bowl with the sauce on the side, Eye of Rpund pho and an eggroll appetizer. All dishes were very flavorful. The restaurant was very clean and nicely arranged. The food service was very good. The server (possibly owner) hovered a little too closely but was interested in teaching us on our first visit to the Noodle House. OH AND the Thai Tea was awesome. ...save half of it for dessert! We will return to try other dishes. P.S. it's located in the Publix plaza.

Absolutely love this place. Beef noodle soup and chicken noodle soup are delicious. Rice dishes and egg rolls are also fantastic.

The place is kinda hidden but inside is nice. A little too quiet though. I felt like I was in a library. They should at least put sound on the TV or play the radio/ music....but not the elevator music that they played for a little while. The pho was decent. Living in places like Seattle, Cali, and Vegas, I like me some pho but ike I said, it was decent. I didn't like the avocado smoothie. It was too sweet and tasted like sweet cereal milk. I asked for boba to be added and it was $1 more, not much but there wasn't much boba and I'm used to it being $.50 extra from other places. Overall, I'd go back for the pho but it just may be because I don't know of any other pho places around here.

Great restaurant. Fast, friendly service. Clean dining area. My husband and I ate for less than $25 AND we were both full! I'll definitely be back. Not sure why there are any bad reviews for this spot. Very good food!

I am just excited I don't have to drive hours to get pho anymore. It's good here.

After a week of vacationing, I needed a break from a heavy dinner. When my boyfriend and I arrived, the restaurant was empty. The table we say it still had crumbs on it. We ordered the chicken wings as the appetizer but didn't get it until the main meal. I had the chicken pho, which I think was average-good but not the best pho. I guess it's good for the area but it could do without the red onions and could use some fresh basil. The chicken wings were delicious. My BF has the grilled pork rice plate and liked it. Only other complaint was we found plastic in my pho veggie plate.

Legit! First time eating here. When I discovered them on yelp, I had to check it out. I had their pho and banh mi. The venu is small from the outside, but very clean and spacious on the inside. I'll def be back to try the rest of their menu.

You have to look for this place. It's tucked away in the shopping center of Publix on 23rd st. But when you find it, you'll be glad you did.

Noodle House is great! It's my new secret spot. It looks small from the outside, but when you walk in...its pretty spacious. I've been here twice already. Went for the first time yesterday and came back today! If you love Vietnamese style noodles, this place is awesome! I will definitely be coming back many more times. Like I said before, its my new secret spot!

I wanted to like Noodle House a lot more, based on the reviews, but it just wasn't there. While the summer rolls were quite good and held together nicely, the "chicken soup" was a miss. I've had a good amount of Pho Ga from the Vietnamese places in Charlotte (yes, we have some good stuff in the Queen City) and I've even had it in Paris (the French used to run Viet Nam back in the day), this was not it. The broth was a little weak, the chicken was big pieces (with a large piece of back bone) and instead of fresh basil leaves, I had a big bag of cilantro. Yes, cilantro. What? Oh, and when the kid said "everything's in there", I believed him. Except the "everything" included the fixings but no spoon or chopsticks. Major fail.

This place is horrible. I'm not a picky eater nor am I a difficult customer. I came in with a party of 5, no one welcomed us nor did they seat us. Basically, you seat yourself. Their food is pretty pricey, they portion is decent but doesn't live up to its prices. Their servers are pretty rude (I got a girl with orange hair) My sister ordered rice and chicken, the chicken was bland and the rice was hard as concrete. Please save your money and go somewhere else. I beg you. You work hard for your money, so you need to be well fed lol.

I love coming to the noodle house because of the great atmosphere and the great food. My favorite thing to get has to be the soup, it's always steaming hot and cooked perfectly. I also like the egg rolls; they are to die for and I will always come back for them.

Love. This. Place. Don't judge from the outside...walk in and you'll see these dudes made a squirrely corner spot into a slick, fresh, airy cafe. It's got that chic, happy-vibe style. The manager and servers are congenial and helpful, and will recommend something tasty if you're unsure of the menu or can't make up your mind. My PERSONAL favorites are the sliced pork dish or the bahn mi (Vietnamese sub sandwiches), followed by the pho (soup). Wishlist: (1) I do wish the soup broth for the pho were stronger, because I think it would bring this place to the next level. (2) Also, it would be awesome if they'd serve Vietnamese coffee using those little "at the table" drips, with the little cup of sweetened milk and an empty coffee cup (or glass of ice for iced Viet coffee). (3) If they added some variety to their bahn mi (AMAZING Vietnamese sandwiches), and either offered more options or provided rotating toppings, I'd probably be in here every week. Still, everything I've had here is uber-tasty and worth the trip...in this city, there are very few places serving exciting food, and this place DOES IT, and does it right. I'll surely be back.

The food was alright, It's isn't authentic Vietnamese food.On a scale of 1-10 I give this place a 5.5, The rice is probably the only thing that is edible. The pho didn't have any flavor mainly msg. Overall the service was good. Like I said before this food is ok, I wouldn't eat here again or recommended it.

Im a huge fan of pho noodles, and PC has never been able to sustain a restaurant that serves them for any length of time . The Noodle House ROCKS! The restaurant is very clean and stylishly decorated. The food came in a timely fashion and was fresh and well seasoned. The service was a little slow at first, but very friendly. I can't wait to come back again!

Food sucked. Beef noodle soups' broth was sour! Our waitress was sweet. The cook/owner was a jerk. He yelled at our waitress because she had forgotten about 2 of our orders and tried to deduct those 2 items from our waitresses tip. I was furious! Mistakes happen. I paid for the 2 items and told him he didn't have to deduct her tip. My uncle found a large price of saran wrap in his bowl. We told the owner and he said he'd deduct it from our bill. No apologize. I don't think we will be coming back.

Well, this place was not my idea of tasty. The portions are enormous, so value is great. The food is another story. The meat was almost tasteless. Noodles were soggy as if they sat in the broth. And the tea was instant. If you are looking for an oddity, check out something else.

Their pho is great, reasonably priced. But I feel like their drinks are overpriced -it's weird, coz I never feel that way. Their thai tea is gross , sorry :/ I've had thai tea everywhere I go that has it and this place probably has the worse thai tea:( it made me sad. At first I thought it was the milk or half & half that they put but no... they changed it three times (no exaggeration) and it was still gross. Three of my friends agreed so it wasn't just my taste buds. Came back another time for the pho and still ordered thai tea... a TAD BIT better, but sorry, It was still gross "/

This place is truly amazing. I am by no means an expert in Vietnamese food. However, I know what I like and this is it. The service is excellent, the staff are very friendly and courteous, and the ingredients are very fresh. The menu contains food items with their Vietnamese names, and the English equivalent... Which I find very helpful in Northwest Florida. To add to the helpful nature of this restaurant, the staff are very kind and offering explanations not only of the food, but the appropriate way to eat it. This is truly a situation in which I would rate the restaurant six stars if a sixth star was available.

This is, BY FAR, the worst restaurant that I've been to... ever. I would like to at least say "in quite a while", but I can't think of worse restaurant, as much as I try. I wish I could post a star rating of ZERO. I have to say, I'm quite astonished that there are so many positive reviews - even when comparing to the multitude of horrendous restaurants in Panama City - this one takes the cake. With all due respect to other reviewers, I can only assume, that people, unfortunately, don't know any better than this, when it comes to Vietnamese cuisine and/or quality of the "genuine article". That being said, it takes more than being "Vietnamese", to cook Vietnamese food... cook it WELL, that is. When I can do FAR better, in my limited experience of cooking Vietnamese cuisine - then that is REALLY unacceptable. Please read below, use your own judgment, and trust your instincts: 1.) I should have listened to MY instincts, when I saw that there was not a soul in the restaurant during "supper time" ... on the weekend. As we tried to find a seat, we couldn't find one that wasn't being "guarded" by a fly or two... 2.) Perhaps, I was expecting too much and reading too much into the name of the restaurant - but I was expecting home-made noodles, if not homemade - at least noodles that are so good, that one would think that they were homemade... after-all, it IS called the "Noodle house"... (should we assume that a "Pizza House" buy frozen pizza, re-heat it and charge a premium price for their trouble?) 3.) When our appetizer arrived, we received a side of bean sprouts that was BROWN and slimy. Not white, but B-R-O-W-N... in other words rotten. We complained to the waiter, and it was only then that fresh (white) bean sprouts were given... (are they trying to clean out their garbage on unsuspecting customers??!!) Why do we have to ASK for fresh, non-slimy, rotten beansprouts? Shouldn't it be a given?? 4.) I was sadly disappointed when my noodles arrived and it was the type of rice noodle that you just need to soak in hot water for a few minutes to "bring it to life" - and they didn't even get THAT right, bringing me what was akin to Easter basket grass. However they still managed to take over a half an hour to "produce" this to our table. 5.) I ordered a seafood "Pho", they brought me a bowl of "Bun" (see #4), that I would've called "cilantro soup"; I paid extra for the "seafood" version, which apparently consists of 1 half-frozen shrimp. 6.) The soup arrived not hot, nor cold. I could only describe the temperature as "unpalatable", much like the rest of the meal (see #7). 7.) The cilantro was so "pungent" that I couldn't finish my meal. I made the unfortunate mistake of trusting the other reviews about this place and decided to take my mother here - her meal was even more disgusting and even more pungent (I could smell it across the table), than mine. 8.) My mother ordered a "seafood" version of her meal as well, which we were told by the waiter - consisted of "shrimp, fish cake, and squid" and ended up just being half-frozen shrimp again... when we questioned the waiter about it, he brought over a little bowl with 2 shrimps in it. Also half-frozen. I guess that means "shut up and eat what I give you" at this restaurant. 9.) Before one questions my expertise on Vietnamese food, my childhood friends of 20 years, were Vietnamese and I've had decades of experience dining on the Vietnamese cuisine which they made... nothing we ate at the restaurant resembled that which I had in the past. This restaurant uses too much MSG, contrary to what they may claim - and doesn't know how to flavor food properly. 10.) Even with all the problems with the meal, and seeing that our meals were barely touched - they didn't offer any sort of comp or discount for our horrifying experience. They even charged us for an "open food" on our receipt... no idea what that was... we ordered 2 entrees and 1 appetizer, all of which were on the receipt... 11.) This was my 1st and LAST visit. I hope this review saves people from a wretched (and retching) dining experience. Save yourself the time and money and go somewhere else. I don't often write reviews, but after this "experience" - IT WAS REQUIRED. ATMOSPHERE: 0/10 SERVICE: 5/10 QUALITY OF FOOD: 0/10 PRICE vs QUALITY/QUANTITY: 0/10

The food quality is consistently awful and I have never paid so much for pho in my life. If you know of another place to get a decent bowl of pho PLEASE share. They play pop music which threw me off at first, but it's a little funny... just super awkward. FIRST VISIT: It was late, I was starving, and I thought the food and service was great! It came out fast, the veggies were fresh, and it was hot. SECOND VISIT: The meat felt as though they cooked it before putting it into the soup. I am used to raw meat being cooked by the boiling soup in the bowl that I am eating it out of. THIRD VISIT: Veggies were brown, woman server charged me for the lunch deal, but did not bring out my egg rolls or drink. She offered to bring it out to me when I asked her to correct my bill, but my party was ready to leave and I didn't want to take it to go. She took FOREVER fixing the issue and I ended up paying the extra $2.00 and not tipping her. FOURTH VISIT: I feel like my first visit was a fluke or maybe I was just too hungry to notice how not delicious it really was. The people who work there are super friendly and nice, but I will ABSOLUTELY not be going back. Nothing was right. I ended up just walking out as soon as they brought out my sad looking pho with weird looking noodles, overcooked beef, and brown veggies. I didn't even touch it. I just looked up and said, "I don't want this" with a very sad look (I was craving pho) and got up. All I want is a good bowl of pho. That is the only thing I've ever wanted EVER in my life!!!! ...but Nope! Never again!

Love. This.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
